Facebook Lite app review

Facebook Lite for Android turns up being a familiar and intuitive because it is a redesigned app. The features that come with it are not far more different from the conventional app. Instead of having a floating button on the right bottom side, this app has had the status posting bar moved to the top side of the app. The layout shows a different design, yet the order of the basic tabs to tap are still the same; News Feed, Friends Requests, Messages, Notifications, Search, and Options.

The text and buttons are generally bigger on this app. This is intended to give the same advanced experience on the phones with low resolution screens. On the notifications panel, profile photos are not shown on FB Lite. Instead, it goes for small and low resolution image to inform the users if their postings are commented, liked, or reacted by friends. The designed look is really semi-modern shown by the grey background, combined with blue and white dominating the interface. The absence of the border lying between a notification bar and the sides of the screen is what makes this app a little squished in the eyes.

FB Lite has the built-in messaging feature. There is no force to download the separate app to continue using the messaging feature on it. To be fair, Lite messaging feature is not as interesting as Messenger since it does not include message bubbles, timestamps and read receipts.

How to Use

When you open it for the first time, there would be two options: Signup or login. Making an account will take under five minutes, so does the login. There are no special requirements since it only asks you for some basic information such as email or phone numbers. You should confirm the activation on the e-mail you enter or by the code that the developers send you. After the registration is done, you can choose what you want to do on News Feed, Friends Requests, Messages, Notifications, Search, and Options. If you want to post a status, click the box under the features panel. Make it along with the photos, tagged friends, specific activities and feelings. The logout button is available under option feature.
