As with most common music streaming apps, YouTube Music for Android provides a fast way to just start playing songs you might be interested in. Looking at the app’s interface, there is a customized “my station” automatically playing once you open the app. The selection of playing tracks will be picked out based on the history of music you listened to and the music content in which you have to click the button on it. The history will also help the app to recommend the best song that suits your musical taste.

You will see the standard music station such as hip-hop, pop, rock, alternative, rock, and so forth when scrolling down the homepage. The music stations are, once again, created by the history of your music list. Listening to music from the self-created station will also make another station based on the artist.

The biggest and most distinguishing feature of this app is the enormous amount of musical content that’s not just the official music video for commercial release such as live performances, demos, remixes, and covers from a popular or aspiring artist. All these features can be accessed under “explore” menu that’s designed by the developers, so you can dive deeper into wider variety of musical content and videos in the forms of particular songs and performances. Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to find a song made before the video era. It only provides the cover versions.

So, this app is very different from the regular YouTube APK version. If on the regular app you cannot play music in the background on Android, in this app you can play it easily. However, of course you have to subscribe to a Premium membership.
